Thing 2 - RSS Feeds

Todays blog is about RSS Feeds and my experience with them. There are alot of cool ways to get information. The RSS Feed, in my opinion is one of the most conveinient ways to receive information. If you have alot of information from various websites that you are seeking, it is a great time saver. However, the amount of websites I am interested in that offer subscriptions is limited. Many sports media companies like ESPN have paid subscriptions that they offer to consumers and therefore don't offer RSS Feeds.

Thing 1 - Blogs

Hello everyone,

This post is to give you feedback on the the recent assignment given to everyone at the Skokie Public Library. The first assignment was to create your own blog. My experience in setting up my own blog has been simple and easy to understand. I have used blogs in many different ways previous to the this assignment. Blogs have helped me tremendously with troubleshooting different software program errors. Web developers often use them as an open forum on how to enhance their skills and master their craft. As a longtime fan of "The Sopranos", I've used the HBO blog to discuss potential plot developments and what character I thought would be the latest to "sleep with the fishes".

Adam's Fun with Photoshop

Hello All,

This blog is all about my love for the ultra popular, photo editing software program, Adobe Photoshop. Not only will you see some really cool designs that I've created but I will also share some tips on how to successfully create designs of your own.
If you are wondering who that six person featured in the Simpsons photo is, by now, you've figured out that it is not a regular character featured in the hit t.v. show. Using Photoshop, I was able to draw myself as a Simpson's Character directly into this family photo. During this process I used Photoshop tools that included the pencil, paint bucket, blur, clone stamp, eye dropper and the selection tool. In addition, I utilized techniques such as layering, masking and filtering.
Photoshop has many great features that allow you to turn regular photos into digital masterpieces. However, using Photoshop for the first time, can be like drinking coffee with a fork. Until next time. -Adam

Hello Again,

Today I thought I would add one of my favorite
photoshop designs. You might remember this picture from the third installment of the Star Wars Prequels: "Revenge of the Sith". However, instead Anakin Skywalker, I was able to successfully embed a picture of myself into the original image. "May the force be with you!" -Adam www.adamarthurdesigngroup.com
